Burrows and Hopwood Set for C360R Reunion

Mansfield, Ohio (8 June 2012)– Adam Burrows and Trevor Hopwood will be back in action to race for Compass360 Racing (C360R) this weekend as the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge returns to the verdant rolling hills in northwest Ohio for round 5 of the 2012 championship.

Burrows returns with full-season co-driver Andrew Novich in the No. 74 Dr. Kimberly Henry / Speed Secrets Honda Civic Si entry. The duo saw an encouraging run in New Jersey end shy of the checkered flag after contact ended the race for Novich.

But the duo will look to take the positives into the middle race of the season as they look for yet another top-10 finish.

“New Jersey didn’t end at all like we wanted it to, but Andrew did a great job and hopefully we can have another very strong race weekend with a little bit better luck in the race,” said Burrows. “I think Mid-Ohio should suit the Hondas, and after spending time with Andrew at the test day, I know he has New Jersey in the rear view mirror and is ready to put in another strong run this weekend. It’s going to be great to have Trev back with us again and I’m looking forward to the weekend.”

Hopwood, the 2007 series champion and 2008 season alum with C360R, teamed with Bo Roach in the No. 77 Honda Civic in the season-opening race at Daytona, got the last minute call from team owner Karl Thomson to rejoin the team after Roach had a family emergency that kept him from making the trip to Mid-Ohio.

“I’m stoked to get the call from Karl and to be getting back behind the wheel of a Compass360R-prepared Honda,” said Hopwood, who at the moment sounds almost as excited as his students, who are actively looking forward to the soon-to-come last day of classes. “I am looking forward to working with Ray (Lee, C360R Technical Director) again and of course to being back at the track with everyone from Compass. My assignment is to just bring as many points home as we can for the 77 car, and I can’t wait to get going.”
