Matt Bell Has the Inside Line in New Jersey

Set to start from fifth row on a sweltering Saturday

Millville, N.J. (23 July 2011) – Matt Bell will start the B+ Foundation Heroes 200 from the fifth row at New Jersey Motorsports Park after qualifying the No. 9 Stevenson Motorsports Camaro GS.R 9th on the grid with a time of 1:31.020 seconds.

As Bell and co-driver John Edwards look to score their third consecutive GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge victory, the duo aims to move up the order throughout the 2.5-hour event.

“We knew we were only going to get two or three laps on the tires, so we waited to go out until a little later in the session,” said Bell of the qualifying run. “The car was not 100%, but the Stevenson guys spent a lot of time changing the whole cooling system and once again showed that they are the hardest working team in the paddock. We know what needs to happen with the car based on what we’ve already done this weekend and what the car feels like, so I’m not concerned and I’m sure they’ll give us a great car for the race.”

The 2.5-hour race will begin at 2:45 PM (ET) and can be followed with live timing and scoring on www.grand-am.com. Some eligible viewers can also see the event LIVE on www.speed2.com.

SPEED will broadcast the 2.5-hour race at 3:00 PM (ET) on July 30.
