Riley Technologies Extends Win Streaks in Rolex Sports Car Series

Victories in DP and GT Classes as Riley nets top eight positions in overall race results

Mooresville, NC (13 April 2011)— Even for a company with the record of success that Riley Technologies has established, the Porsche 250 GRAND-AM at Barber Motorsports Park was a particularly big highlight.

After scoring a 1-2 finish in both the Daytona Prototype and GT classes in round two at Homestead Miami Speedway, Riley Technologies customers were looking to build on that momentum at Barber Motorsports Park.

For the third consecutive race, the No. 01 BMW-powered Riley of Memo Rojas and Scott Pruett won the overall event for Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates. With the team kicking off the season with a victory in the Rolex 24 At Daytona, the duo have launched an impressive campaign for their championship defense, having scored the Rolex Series Team and Driver titles in 2010.

Riley Technologies products also enjoyed success in the GT Class at Barber Motorsports Park, as the No. 94 Turner Motorsport BMW M3 of Paul Dalla Lana and Bill Auberlen scored the GT Class victory for the second consecutive race. The two consecutive wins have powered the Turner Motorsport group forward in the driver championship standings, as the duo are now tied for the championship lead.

Adding to the trophy count for Riley Technologies products at Barber was the No. 70 SpeedSource Engineering Mazda RX-8 of Sylvain Tremblay and Jonathan Bomarito, which crossed the finish line third in GT.

In a race that saw seven lead changes, the Riley Technologies Daytona Prototypes were a dominant force, scoring the top eight positions in the running order. The GRAND-AM Rolex Series championship standings also reflect that on-track strength, with the top nine drivers all running Riley equipment.
