Allmendinger Stepping Up To Big Stage in 2012
Fans Getting More Dinger than ever
Daytona Beach, FL– Working with his trainer, crew chief, and pit crew, AJ Allmendinger is doing everything he can to make sure that his competition can’t keep up. But for his fans, he’s willing to be a little more accommodating.
As Allmendinger gets set for a busy debut season as a Penske Racing driver, racing the No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Dodge in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, he’s also going to have a busy one off the track as his profile continues to grow.
With a range of recurring media appearances set for Allmendinger in 2012, it will be hard to miss the “Dinger” as he is set for regular interviews and appearances across a range of media platforms.
Allmendinger will be making weekly appearances on Sirius Satellite’s Speedway Show (Ch.90, weekdays 3PM-7PM) and will take part in the ‘Daily Dinger’ on ESPN2’s weekend edition of NASCAR Now. He will also produce a weekly video blog for Fox Sports (http://msn.foxsports.com/nascar) as well as author a monthly blog for NASCAR.com.
If that is not enough, fans can also follow AJ’s exploits on Twitter (www.twitter.com/ajdinger) and Facebook (www.facebook.com/ajallmendinger).
“It’s definitely going to be a busy year, but that’s the way I like it,” said Allmendinger. “I’m having a lot of fun, just getting to know everyone on the team and trying to get settled in quickly. Everyone is very optimistic about this season and I can’t wait to get started. Starting the year with the Rolex 24 win was perfect, and now we just want to get some momentum going and make the most of this opportunity with Penske Racing.”
In addition to his NASCAR endeavors, Allmendinger also recently announced the creation of a new karting scholarship that will see a young karter earn a season in the WKA Manufacturer’s Cup Series as well as the opportunity to compete in the Rotax Grand Nationals and the SKUSA SuperNationals.
