Mooresville, NC (28 July 2011)—From the Salt Flats in Utah to the high banks at Daytona, products from Riley Technologies have become synonymous with success with wins in a wide variety of motorsports pursuits.

That impressive roster of wins was joined by a very special victory this weekend as the Riley Track Day Car returned to the Grassroots Motorsports “Ultimate Track Day Challenge” to once again claim victory in the event.

Setting a time over six seconds clear of the competition at the twisty Virginia track, the TDC bested an impressive collection of specialty machines that had assembled from around the country to officially determine the fastest track day car in the land. The TDC triumph at VIR was another notch on Riley Technologies winning ways in 2011, with the firm celebrating an 81st victory in its 100th Daytona Prototype event while the Riley-designed Chevrolet Camaro also recently broke through for two consecutive victories in GRAND-AM Continental TIre Sports Car Challenge competition.

The Riley TDC was created to meet the growing demand for high performance vehicles for use at private track facilities like VIR. The machine, which is capable of carrying two people, delivers an unparalleled driving experience while keeping costs at reasonable levels.

With multiple examples of the TDC already in the hands of private owners, Riley Technologies continues to offer a custom build program to allow the owners to be a part of the specification process to select the perfect machine for their needs. From power train options to color schemes, the TDC provides a wide range of choices for customers. Each custom-built TDC is optionally delivered to customers at Monticello Motor Club (“MMC”) (www.monticellomotorclub.com), the premier private race resort located 90 minutes from Manhattan, and includes a full day with a professional instructor and inclusion in the MMC TDC race series.

But no matter what color it is, the TDC delivers safety, reliability, and performance. In fact, the machine has been selected to serve as the operational centerpiece of the “Worlds Fastest Racing School,” which is based at Monticello Motor Club. The TDC driving experience at Monticello includes one on one instruction from top flight drivers as well as an unparalleled immersive driving experience over three days.

“We had very specific goals for the Track Day Car,” said Riley Technologies VP Bill Riley. “Of course, performance was important, but we also wanted to deliver a car that was going to be straightforward not only from a performance point of view, but also from a reliability standpoint. The more miles our customers do with the TDC, the more we feel like we’ve accomplished our goals with the feedback and data we’ve seen about the reliablity. And of course, winning events like this helps to confirm the true speed that the TDC is capable of.”

The Track Day win capped off another big weekend for Riley, as the TDC win joined the success in New Jersey as Riley Technologies designs claimed 1-2-3 in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT race at New Jersey Motorsports Park while the Telmex Ganassi duo of Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas added to their championship lead with a remarkable (5th) win of the season in the Daytona Prototypes.
